I enjoy working in the youth court system and prefer it to the adult court system because there is a real sense of hope. There is a feeling that you can make a difference in these young people’s lives and turn them around so they don’t become a part of the adult criminal system.

Every child who goes through the youth system and doesn’t graduate into the adult system is an accomplishment. You have a much greater feeling that what you’re doing has a purpose, that you’re achieving something.
